Francis Joseph Kennedy

DURHAMVILLE – Death of Francis Kennedy, 71, life-long Irish Ridge Road farmer, o ccurred at his home yesterday after a short illness. Mr. Kennedy was born, lived and died in the same house. He was born April 27, 1867, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Gleason Kennedy. His wife died about five years ago. Kennedy operated the farm for more than 40 years. Surviving are three children, Francis, Irene and Marie Kennedy, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Theresa Riley, Oneida, and Mrs. Margaret Burback, Durhamville. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Irish Ridge. Services for Francis will be conducted at 8:40 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church, Irish Ridge. Solemn requiem high mass will be said by Rev. Edmund Codd, pastor. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.


Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
