DURHAMVILLE – Josiah McNally, 84, died Thursday at Loretto Rest Nursing Home, Syracuse. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durhamville. Mr. McNally was an employee on the old Erie Canal for many years and later worked for Oneida Ltd. Silversmiths. He was the son of William and Katherin Hyland McNally. He was a communcant of St. Francis Church, The Community Assocated Clubs of Sherrill, and Oneida Ltd, Retirement Club . He was a former member of the Durhamville Fire Department. Surviving are two cousins, James Lauer and Mrs. Grace Fowler both of Durhamville. Funeral servies will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at John J. McSweeny Funeral Home, 322 Washington Ave., Oneida, an at 9 a.m. in St. Francis Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Irish Ridge.
Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
