Ministries at Spirit of Hope Parish
Worship
Our goal is to enrich the prayer and worship life of parishioners and visitors so that by way of full, conscious and active participation in worship a deeper relationship with God can flourish. To do this we will:
DEVELOP regular training sessions for new and current Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Altar Servers, Greeters, Ushers, and Gift Bearers.
CREATE a Sacristan Ministry team to support current sacristans and establish a Funeral Sacristan Ministry.
ENRICH our Music Ministry through invitation, continuing collaboration, and training.
ESTABLISH a team that will help prepare the seasonal environment and identity.

Evangelization
The goal of this council is twofold. We will reach out beyond our doors so that Catholics who have fallen away or others who may not know Jesus can come to experiences his love and mercy. We will also work to help our parishioners continue to deepen their own faith. To do this we will:
PROVIDE experiences that will offer ways for a personal encounter with Jesus such as days of reflection and retreats, as well as offerings such as Blessing of the Boats, and Blessing of the Animals.
DEVELOP groups, such as ongoing Bible Study, bereavement support, faith sharing, and/or social groups for young adults, parents with young children, and seniors. We will also continue to develop our RCIA team.

Parish Life
Our goal is to offer enriching events that bring as many of our parishioners together as possible. To do that we will:
SUPPORT current events such as the Fish Fry, Casino Night, Annual Picnic just to name a few.
DEVELOP new events such as saint’s or holy day festivals, friendly athletic tournaments (corn hole, kickball) and ideas from our parishioners.
ENCOURAGE fellowship with events immediately following Masses like Coffee and Donuts.
CREATE new and enriching ways to bring our parishioners together.

Community Outreach
Our goal is to serve both the spiritual and physical needs of our parishioners, as well as those in our greater community. In this way, we can continue to plant new seeds and cultivate those already planted. To do this we will:
ASSIST the Spirit of Hope food pantries with the recruitment of volunteers.
CREATE a team to visit and make phone calls to the sick and homebound, as well as bringing Communion to them when requested.
SUPPORT outreach organizations in our community.
CONSIDER the idea of supporting a sister parish somewhere in the United States or another part of the world.
