When is Totus Tuus?

Totus Tuus will be held at Spirit of Hope Parish the week of July 26 – July 31. The teens meet from Sunday-Thursday in the evening and the children meet from Monday-Friday during the day.

What is Totus Tuus?

Totus Tuus is a Catholic summer camp like program for elementary aged children and teenagers. The children meet during the daytime program and the teens meet during the evening program.

What do you do during Totus Tuus?

The children gather together in the morning to sing songs, watch skits, and pray together. They then break off by age level for a daily lesson. They take time for lunch and games, and then the day ends with more skits and songs and prayer. On Friday the children have a fun water day and the chance to “Sundae” a member of the missionary team.

The teens gather in the evening for ice breakers and games. There is a witness talk by the missionary team and time to pray together. There is also time for the teens to engage in deep discussion about their faith. On Thursday evening the teens go for a fun activity to wrap up their experience.

Who leads Totus Tuus?

A missionary team of college aged students will be assigned to Spirit of Hope Parish. They give up their summer to run Totus Tuus experiences around the Diocese of Syracuse. The missionaries come from all over the country. They will be assisted by adult chaperones and staff from Spirit of Hope Parish.

Who will our missionary team be?

There is a process of discernment that happens before the summer starts. Our team will be assigned to us when that process is complete. It is in the Holy Spirit’s hands!

Is there a cost?

There is a registration fee. However, money is never a reason a child should not participate in one of our activities. If the registration fee is burdensome to you, we can work it out!
