James Tyrrell

HIGGINSVILLE Jan. 16- James Tyrrell, a respected citizen, who resided on the Irish Ridge, near this place, died from pneumonia very suddenly on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.. He had been sick only three days. Mr. Tyrrell was born in Kings county, Ireland about 62 years ago. He came to this country with his parents when about 20 years old and had resided in this vicinity since. By occupation he was a farmer . He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church on the Ridge and always took an active part in the affairs of the church. In politics he was until about six years ago a Democrat. Since then he had called himself an independent. He was a good citizen and a kind and obliging neighbor. He is survived by one sister and four brothers, Mrs. Anna Brennan of 871 Bleecker Street, Utica, John of Brooklyn, Edward of Oneida and William and Walter of this place. His funeral will be held at the Ridge Church on Wednesday, Jan 17, 1t 10 o’clock a.m.. Rev. Father Keller of Oneida officiating. He was never married.


Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
